Learning to fly...

Today is May 26, 2015. Practically growing up flying, I never thought it could be within reach to fly on my own. Mid '80's, flights from Sao Paulo, Brazil to NYC were always overnight flights. I would request right side of plane, window seat. Every time we'd make this 14 hour trip, I looked forward to the few minutes when the sun crested the horizon. The most beautiful sunrises I've ever seen...and one many will never get to experience.

It's these things, or the thrill of riding a Harley taking in the different smells, sights & sounds; hiking the Bavarian/Austrian Alps; waking up to the sounds of loons on Lake Sunapee. I can go on and on about what stimulates me.

This blog is an attempt to document my journey into something so foreign yet incredibly exciting to me. The study of aerodynamics. I've amassed many certifications throughout the years, but since college, haven't endeavored on a technical study until now.

Flight. I imagine it's like riding a motorcycle: all senses turned on! So join me as I candidly share my adventures, mishaps, frustrations and euphoria on becoming a PILOT.
Friday, May 29 I will have my first flying lesson with Emerson flight school in Laconia, NH.
